Dear Reader
DEAR READER,
I’m sure many of you will have read the notice that Julie will be leaving her post as my Assistant on 3rd August. I’m sure you will all want to join with me to wish her every success in the future. Julie will, however, continue to provide Keep Fit and Chair Based Exercise Classes at the Centre.
Debbie Nicholas will be increasing her hours and become my Assistant from 4th August. I’m sure you will all help Debbie to settle into her new role.
I would like to thank Ann Godfrey who has been teaching our Pilates classes and wish her well with her move to France. From 1st August, the Hailey Centre will be replacing Pilates with Yoga, but I understand that many Pilates movements will be incorporated into the Yoga sessions. Come along and experience the new classes. The cost remains at £4.00 per session.
It has been confirmed that Hertswise will be holding their sessions at the Centre on Wednesday mornings from 9.30 – 11.30 a.m. beginning on Wednesday 2nd August. Teas will be served in the Committee Room.
Tickets are now on sale for our Race Night and as this will be one of our major fund-raising events, we hope that you will be able to support this event. The cost is £10.00 per person to include entrance fee and Fish & Chip supper. There will be a licensed bar and raffle so please come and enjoy a fun evening as well as support the Centre. If any of you have difficulty getting home after the event, please speak to anyone in the office and transport will be arranged.
Simon Cook our Volunteer ‘Silver Surfer’ has recently collected an award for his IT teaching work within the community. The Hailey Centre is lucky to have such a dedicated Volunteer.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sue
