Dear Reader
Dear Reader
I would like to introduce Julie Bradley to you all, although some of you may have already met her. Julie will be with us from 10.30 – 2.30 daily and I’m sure you would all join with me to wish Julie a warm welcome to the Centre.
The New Year Lunch was enjoyed by 60 of us at the Hunters Meet on Friday 8th January and it would lovely to see so many people up and dancing.
We still have numbers available on all three Bonus Ball games, once we get to 59 players per game and winnings will increase to £50 per game. Please let us know in the office if you are interested.
The Tesco and Range bus currently running on the first Wednesday in every month is low in numbers, if you are interested in using this service but would prefer another day other than Wednesday, please let me know. You need to meet at the Hailey Centre 11am and you will be dropped off at your home address with your shopping. The cost for this trip £3.50
This year’s Summer Holiday will be at Alvaston Hall in Cheshire, a Warner’s Hotel. If any of you would like to come please put your names down in the office with a deposit of £30. Further details are on the notice board.
If there is anyone who has been affected by disability or stroke, Don Hall and Heather Riches will be available during our coffee morning on the last Thursday in every month to try and help with any everyday difficulties.
The Hailey only runs so well due to all the volunteers who give up their time to help in all sorts of ways and I would like to say thank you again for your help with the smooth running of the Centre. More volunteers are always welcome.
The Centre has to remain viable which is why you will have noticed either a small increase in participation costs of where there was none, a small participation charge. I hope you will all agree that to reduce the opening times or lose the Centre altogether would not be in anyone’s best interest, I hope you all agree that a small charge is worthwhile.
I look forward to seeing you all soon and thank you for your support as always.
Sue
