Natures Corner
Hello Folks,
Today some bits about my weeks birdwatching in Hampshire. Our HQ was the Hotel Brookfield in Emsworth (very comfortable) and our special driver Colin the Coach. We also struck lucky with the best week’s weather to date.
After the coach pick-ups our first stop was at Thatcham Reed Beds near Woking. Not too many birds but the Café was good and we did see lots of Butterflies.
One of our best days out was to Arundel Wildfowl and Wetland Reserve, here was plenty to see, lots of Ducks (mostly foreign species), also Swans, so I spent lots of time taking pictures with my camera, a good place to go to for a day out.
Our final visit was to Pulborough Brooks R.S.P.B. Reserve in the Star Valley, West Sussex, another fine place for a visit, again not too many birds but the company was good as was the café.
P.S. We are still feeding the three hedgehogs also the two foxes each night.
More soon
